This is a progressive strength and balance program for mobility and reducing the risk of falls and injury. Cost is $5 per session, and some Thursdays are not available. Contact: info@share.org.au or phone: 85800628. This sounds like a lot more fun that the balance exercises I need to do on my own!

And while on the subject of exercise, why not try something a bit more energetic – Zumba Gold at Ron Williams Community Centre, Thursdays 9.30-10.30am until December 12. Cost is by Card only: Concession $4.90, Adult $10.00.

Tin Sheds Gallery, 148 City Road, Darlington (level 2, Wilkinson Building)
I pass this gallery every time I take a bus to and from the City, and have never ventured inside. The current exhibition is Garden at the End of Time with works by a number of artists. Open Tuesdays to Fridays 10am-4pm from June 6 to July 19. Entry is free but you can book tickets by phoning 9351 3115 or email tinsheds@sydney.edu.au/.

2024 Archibald Prize, Naala Nura, Art Gallery of NSW – June 8 to September 8
They’re back, as they have been since 1921 – the Archies, as they are lovingly called, along with their cousins, the Wynne and Sulman Prizes. Another highlight of the Archibald is the Young Archies, for aspiring artists aged 5-18 years. From my observations in previous years, these works are outstanding. Tickets are $25 for Adults and $22 Concession. Open from 10am-5pm (last tickets available at 4pm).

Alphonse Mucha: Spirit of the Art Nouveau – June 15 to September 22
Works from the Mucha Family Collection include illustrations, jewellery, interior decorations and photographs. Tickets are $35 Adult and $32 Concession. Joint tickets for both exhibitions are available. https://artgallery.nsw.gov.au/whatson/
