With under 90 days to go until the Paris Olympics, the Australian team has been partly selected. More athletes will qualify in the coming weeks. Australia is hoping to better their overall medal haul from the pandemic-delayed 2021 Tokyo Olympics (46 medals including 17 gold).
Paris will become the second city to host three Olympics (1900, 1924, 2024), joining London. The opening ceremony will take place on July 26. A total of 10,500 athletes will be competing across 32 sports until August 11. The Paralympics will commence on August 28 and will continue through to September 8, where 22 sports will be contested.
