Pemulwuy – smooth moves by crews on site each day

REDFERN: As the year comes to an end, work on the Pemulwuy Project has been progressing steadily.

On Precinct 1 (Affordable housing/gym/gallery): We have been excited to see the form of the apartments on Precinct 1 taking shape. The concrete pour for level 2 has been

completed, as has the stripping of the basement. Installation of mechanics and lighting has also commenced. Scaffolding to follow through for the apartments and the apartment tower structure will be finished before Christmas. Work on the townhouses will commence in mid-December.

On Precinct 3 (Col James Student Accommodation): All work on the upper-ground floor slab has been finished, which means this floor is complete. Pouring of the first part of the level 1 slab has commenced along with the pour for the second slab for Level 1 along the rail corridor (east boundary). All hoardings are finished and in-ground works were completed in late October.

From steel fixers, to concreters, to traffic controllers, all our workers keep everything moving smoothly on site. Uncle Micky Mundine enjoys having a yarn with the different crews and any visitors passing through. He is getting very fit walking around the site every day!

Our thoughts and best wishes go out to all those who have been affected in the New South Wales and Queensland fires, and we thank all the firefighters and emergency workers for their amazing dedication and service.

We would also like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season, and we look forward to updating you on the Pemulwuy Project in the New Year.
