‘Make It Home’

Make a home within the cosmos
See what you don’t want to miss
A sketchbook and a pocket camera
Bream that swim in muddy water
Eagle lumbers through the grass

Images find you, pull you close
Red and yellow cellulose
Black wattle road for aiming higher
What if you don’t make it home?

Describe in detail, wild as a guess
A heat that brings the grain to ripeness
Summertime, a fine adventure
Comes to mind, the bloodwoods flower
Shadow passes over grass
What if you don’t make it home?
