‘Crystal Set’

Citrine, turquoise, candle quartz
I watch and wonder

One says show no fear
One says love and salvation
Let me make it clear
You are this conversation

You’re alive, you’re in danger
If you cannot change

Glass rods played with fingers wet
I watch them quiver

One says do no harm
One says defend the abused
Emotional storm
Touch me not, I’m badly bruised

I’m alive, I’m in danger
If I cannot change

Crystal set assembled there
You stare in wonder

One says it’s naive
One says enemies destroyed
Focus and believe
Once again confront the void

We’re alive, we’re in danger
If we cannot change
