The FBi SMAC Awards ceremony took place at Carriageworks in Eveleigh. Broadcast live on FBi 94.5fm, the night was hosted by the station’s Friday Arvos dream duo, Sweetie and Al, and featured live performances from L-Fresh The Lion and Middle Kids, as well as Jacklin in solo mode.

Jacklin’s full-length debut, Don’t Let the Kids Win, has featured on many a best-of-2016 music list and garnered international praise for quality writing, wit and warmth. Michael Hann at the Guardian has suggested it’s “one of those albums that will slowly creep into the affections of a large number of people”.

The SSH wishes Julia, our former advertising manager and volunteer writer, every success this year as she tours extensively to promote the album. Safe travels and inspiring adventures. We will miss you!
