Bridget Kelly is an abstract colourist artist, with a chromosome to spare. Bridget’s unique mark-making and dizzying colour combinations are created using Posca pens, and distinctive shapes cut from wood.
The result is a visual feast. Our world isn’t the best at the moment – but in Bridget’s world, it’s “all good here”.
Bridget’s latest solo art exhibition opened on March 25 and runs until April 7 at 107 Projects Redfern Gallery, from 11am-5pm Wednesday to Saturday.
In 2018, Bridget won the Inner West’s Blooming Arts Emerging Artists Prize, a mentorship at Sydney College of the Arts, where she studied screen printing.
Since then, she has held successful solo exhibitions, participated in art fairs, been to Uni, featured on Mirvac building wraparounds, given conference talks and loads more.
Art is how Bridget communicates. Art allows her to be successful and proud of her disability in a mainstream space.
107 Projects, 107 Redfern Street, Redfern.
