Let the bidding begin!

The SSH Celebrate Community fundraiser on December 11 will include an online auction. There are fabulous items for bidders to win, and bidding starts now!

Auctioneer John Lanzky is excited. “I’m very happy to announce that we have seven items up for auction,” he said. “Please send bids now using the email address auction@ssh.com.au and then bidding will continue on the night of the fundraiser. I’ll close the bidding at 8pm.”

Auction items are as follows (please email bid in dollars and indicate item by letter).

(A) Abstract painting by Redfern artist Jo Tracy. The acrylic work entitled “Covid Chaos” was created by the artist in isolation. WEDNESDAY DEC 9 HIGHEST BID: $100.

(B) Soft handcrafted doll (perfect for storytelling) made by SSH theatre editor Catherine Skipper. WEDNESDAY DEC 9 HIGHEST BID: $100.

(C) “Shadow surprise” scarf knitted by SSH news editor Lyn Turnbull. WEDNESDAY DEC 9 HIGHEST BID: $60.

(D) Potted frangipani struck from the tree on the site of the former Rachel Forster Hospital in Redfern (corner of Albert and Pitt streets). WEDNESDAY DEC 9 HIGHEST BID: $100.

(E) Framed Sydney Swans 2005 premiership poster signed by grand-final star Leo Barry. WEDNESDAY DEC 9 HIGHEST BID: $100.

(F) Framed 2020 South Sydney Rabbitohs jersey signed by all players. WEDNESDAY DEC 9 HIGHEST BID: $300.

(G) Exclusive set of five coffee mugs featuring 2020 cartoons by SSH cartoonist norrie mAy-welby. WEDNESDAY DEC 9 HIGHEST BID: $100.
