Curry on

It’s surprising how healthy ordinary foods can be.

Curry, for example, can contain many ingredients that make the body feel good and keep us nice and healthy.

Some curries have spinach in them which has lots of vitamins and minerals and almost no calories.

Nearly all curries have turmeric which contains curcumin. According to nih.gov, curcumin has a rich base of anti-inflammatory properties and could even be a protective factor in preventing cancer.

Many curries also have cinnamon in them. Cinnamon has been studied for years for its ability to help in matters of blood sugar. Cinnamon also has anti-inflammatory properties and it tastes great to boot.

Nearly all curries contain ginger. Ginger is known to help with digestion and one study published on pubmed even quotes ginger as being a better treatment for arthritis than anti-arthritic drugs available via prescription. Much cheaper, too!

One of the healthiest ingredients in curry is dahl or lentils. These little powerhouses contain lots of fibre to get your digestion moving, and have a fair amount of protein too.
