‘Celtic Knots’

County Borough city, declared by a Queen in 1888
Heading to port ex-storm, in Father Conor’s yacht
Brother Liam, praying he wasn’t late
Triquetra tattoo his heritage, 3 elements in his knot.

As Father Conor docked and tied off, chilly old Belfast
Throat tickles, runny nose, and sneezing,
Brother Liam ran, to get some Telfast™.

Saoirse runs the chemist, beside St Anne’s cathedral
Misdiagnosing Liam’s condition, she had
Mistakenly sold him Benadryl™, unbeknownst
Brother Liam had an affliction.

“How fast does she go, in Celtic knots?”
Brother Liam thought he heard Saoirse say,
At least 7, she’s one of the fastest yachts
From Belfast to Kearney, any day.
