Waterloo and Redfern Covid-19 vaccination clinics in – walk-ins welcome

From tomorrow (Wednesday August 11, 2021) until Saturday August 14, NSW Health will be providing free AstraZeneca vaccinations in Waterloo and Redfern from 10am to 4pm.

No booking needed. Just walk in.

WATERLOO CLINIC

When: Wed, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 11, 12, 13, 14 August
Time: 10am-4pm

REDFERN CLINIC
Where: South Sydney PCYC
Address: 638 Elizabeth Street (Cnr Phillip St), Redfern
When: Wed, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11, 12, 13, 14 August
Time: 10am-4pm 

Remember, you don’t need a Medicare card, but please do NOT to attend if you have flu-like symptoms or have been asked to isolate as a close or casual contact of a confirmed case.

A recent video from NSW Health shows Dr Richard Totaro, Co-Director of the Intensive Care Service at Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, offering an insight into the burden of COVID-19 on ICU wards. He also explains the importance of getting vaccinated.

“We want to stop people getting sick and ending up in ICU, and there is really good evidence from all over the world that the vaccinations that we have available to us stop people needing to come into hospital.”

NSW today recorded four Covid-19 deaths and 356 new cases.

NSW Health walk-in vaccination clinics in Greater Sydney are offering

  • Free AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccinations are available to everyone aged 18 years and over.
  • No appointment necessary.
  • GP referral is not required but if you have spoken to your normal GP about getting AstraZeneca, you can bring a letter from them.
  • Bilingual health workers are available at each clinic to answer your questions about the AstraZeneca vaccine. Information flyers are also available.

People aged 18 and over can also receive the AstraZeneca vaccine from GPs and participating pharmacies.
