March is Epilepsy Awareness Month and March 21 is Harmony Day as well as World Down Syndrome Day. WWF Earth Hour is March 24.

Weave is a Festival of Aboriginal and Pacific Cultures at the Australian Museum, Cnr William and College Streets, Sydney from March 1 to Saturday March 31. Most days open from 9.30am to 9pm.

The centrepiece of Weave is Gadi, a landmark exhibition celebrating the rich culture of Aboriginal Sydney. There will also be talks, workshops, drop-in-activities and a 3D virtual reality film Carriberrie.

Cost: Adult $15/Concession $8/children 5-15 free. Check the Museum website for special events.

If you were lucky enough to experience Songlines, Tracking the Seven Sisters at the National Museum Australia in Canberra, you will appreciate the richness of the cultures of our first peoples.

Katharina Grosse – The Horse Trotted Another Couple of Metres Then It Stopped: daily from 10am-6pm at Carriageworks until April 8. Free event.

Don’t be put off by the title; this is a huge, colourful, in-your-face installation of more than 8,000 metres of suspended fabric. Guaranteed to amaze and astound you.

iPad and iPhone Basics
