Rabbitohs dismiss coach Demetriou

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have terminated the coaching contract of Head Coach Jason Demetriou, effective immediately.

South Sydney chief executive Blake Solly says the club has no regrets over the sacking.

The decision came today, Tuesday April 30, on the back of a failed 2023 campaign and a 1-6 win-loss record so far this season.

Following the news, I’d like to wish him well. Good wishes, also, to interim coach Ben Hornby, whose job will be to try and turn things around for our team.

The rumour is that the Rabbitohs board has been in touch with Wayne Bennett, who led the club to one grand final and two finals series.
