Dear South Sydney Herald team and readers,
My name is Ralph, I am a Maltese Shitzu living in Brighton in Melbourne and I have just celebrated my 16th birthday, making me 97 in dog years!
Over the course of May I am walking 50 kilometres (which is a long way with little legs!) to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia.
I am doing the walk to support my Aunty Em who was diagnosed at just 28 years old, but there are over 25,600 Australians living with MS as well, so it’s really important research.
My goal is $1,000 and I am just over halfway there. I have walked 31 kilometres so far. I love walking to the dog beach – some days I get a bit tired and Mum and Dad have to carry me the last bit of the walk – but this morning, I walked the whole 4.6 kilometres so I am spending the rest of the day in bed. Can’t wait.
You can see my fundraiser page here, find more pictures here of me on my walk and recovering from them. And track my progress on Strava.
I would love you and your readers to help me reach my goal and help Kiss Goodbye to MS.
Thanks for reading,
Ralph
