‘Book of Songs’

(For Farv)

My kids on the stage
Their hands to the sky
A circle of courage
Their hearts lifted high

To believe and give honour
There’s a force that will conquer

A metamorphosis
Like passions in music
Get dressed for success
A black shirt and jeans basic

Shape to pass the ball
Shape to kick the goal

A circle in the water
Where I entered it
A bright word when I falter
Still remember it

Metallica songs
A whole book of songs

My kids with the torch
Of generosity
To carry it forth
With vigour and mastery

Grant my life a flame
Oh, grant my life a flame
