State of Origin sides for Game 1

This year’s State of Origin series is almost upon us, with New South Wales, now led by Michael Maguire, looking to end a two-year losing streak against their arch-rivals. Game 1 is set to take place at Sydney’s Accor Stadium on Wednesday, June 5.

Both Maguire and Queensland coach Billy Slater have had plenty to think about in the lead-up to selection, with a host of the competition’s biggest names sidelined through injury. These are the team lists for Game 1 of the 2024 State of Origin series.
