‘A Koala Christmas Countdown’ … join in!

The Australian Koala Foundation (AKF) has created an “advent calendar” with a difference to spur people into the Christmas spirit.

The advent calendar will be posted on AKF’s social media platforms daily in the lead up to Christmas Day.

The AKF invites the public to take part in the festivities and join them in their Koala-themed countdown to Christmas.

“This modernised take on a traditional advent calendar is unique in that it offers the same festive experience we are all familiar with, in a form accessible to supporters around the world,” said Chair of the Australian Koala Foundation, Deborah Tabart OAM.

“This is a really exciting way to spread the Christmas spirit and share the joy the festive season brings with our loyal supporters.

“This year has been difficult for so many, so it is lovely to approach Christmas with a positive mindset and some much-needed fun,” Ms Tabart said.

AKF says the “Koala Christmas Countdown” advent calendar has been mindfully designed and includes 25 special surprises to suit the interests of all AKF supporters.

Each day supporters will be able to interact with the posts and “swipe” to open the calendar door to reveal its exciting contents.

To join AKF in its countdown to Christmas, follow AKF social media platforms.

The Australian Koala Foundation (AKF) is the principal non-profit, non-government organisation dedicated to the conservation and effective management of the wild koala and its habitat.
