Pemulwuy – welcoming tenants

This article is sponsored by the Aboriginal Housing Company’s Pemulwuy Project. Authorised by Michael Mundine, CEO, Aboriginal Housing Company Limited

As we near completion of our affordable housing, landscaping and civil works teams have been busy installing new roads, paving and gardens.

The landscaping has really enhanced the entry area to the apartments, gallery and gym, especially with the planting of a beautiful baobab tree in the main garden bed. Pedestrians, cyclists and motorists should enjoy the upgrades to the footpaths and roads adjacent to the apartments.

AHC staff have been carrying out inspections of the apartments and townhouses to ensure they are ready for us to welcome our Pemulwuy Project tenants to bring the affordable housing precinct to life! We will be starting to move in tenants this month and into the new year, and we are still encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply to live at Pemulwuy through our website: https://www.ahc.org.au/housing/applications/.

Please check our eligibility criteria before completing our Expression of Interest form online.

The new Elouera Tony Mundine Gym will be opening early in 2021 but we have decided not to go ahead with our soft launch in December. We will be concentrating on a big opening event for next year!

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the construction management and all the crews who have worked so hard this year on the Pemulwuy Project and kept everything on schedule.

Merry Christmas – we wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season and a very happy 2021.
