Make Newtown Festival your backyard party on November 8

Newtown Neighbourhood Centre (NNC) can’t host Newtown Festival in 2020 due to pandemic restrictions – but it is inviting locals to have a small (Covid-safe) party at home with friends and family to celebrate what the annual festival means to them.

Newtown Festival Backyard Party is this Sunday November 8 – and NNC is offering lots of ideas to make your backyard party feel like the festival is right there in your own home.

All registered parties go in the draw to win a $100 Westfield voucher. Plus, you have the chance of winning a private Young Henrys gig at your Backyard Party, featuring local legends Andy Golledge and Caitlin Harnett.

Without events like the festival, NNC would not be able to develop new initiatives like its Newtopian Homeless Outreach volunteer project or the Homelessness Services Co-ordinator role – both of which directly support rough sleepers and create pathways for vulnerable people to housing and support services.

So please host a party and donate to Newtown Neighbourhood Centre here.

Also, make sure you tag your party photos @newtowncentre on Instagram and Facebook and also include #NFBackyardParty and #NewtownFestival2020.

Register today at www.newtownfestival.org
