Sydney Festival January 6-28, 2018

This is Wesley Enoch’s second year as Festival Director and the program looks as bright and innovative as last year. There will be circuses, lots of Indigenous theatre and music, including a tribute to Ruby Hunter from Emma Donovan and the Putbacks. Also short plays, cabaret, there is something for everyone. And if you are stuck for a present for that special someone, Gift Vouchers are available.

A Huge Thank-you to our Volunteers

You do everything for the South Sydney Herald – editing, writing, photographing, producing a first-class free community newspaper every month. And to our volunteer distributors, without you the community wouldn’t get to read the paper.

Special appreciation goes to our managing editor the Rev. Andrew Collis, who gently guides us though every issue, and to our brilliantly wonderful designer Rob Young.

Pickup Points

You can grab a copy of the SSH from one of many pickup points. Thanks this month to Badde Manors Café in Glebe, the Park Café in Redfern, IGA Waterloo and Rosebery, The Erko Hotel, Boag’s Newsagency in Waterloo, the Juanita Nielson Community Centre in Woolloomooloo.

Wishing you all – readers, advertisers and volunteers – a very happy and reflective festive season and every good hope for a safe, healthy and peaceful 2018.

Pat Clarke
