For our future students who are looking to start their bachelor degree next year, we will be holding the University of Sydney Info Day on Saturday December 16, 9am-4pm. Students and their families are invited to come along and get all the answers to course and campus questions and find out why the University is ranked fourth in the world and first in Australia for graduate employability*.
You can meet our academics and current students at the course advice centres to learn about our unparalleled undergraduate study options and how you can combine study areas with our reimagined Sydney Undergraduate Experience.
With more than 100 mini-lectures covering everything from study options, to accommodation and alternative pathways, there is something for everyone. For more information on the day download the Info Day app or visit https://sydney.edu.au/info-day.
The Sydney Uni Sport and Fitness Centre will once again be providing its outstanding school holiday programs covering a range of sports and activities for school kids. To find out what is on offer these holidays go to http://www.susf.com.au/sports-camps-description.html.
The American Express Openair Cinema is also back for the summer season bringing sunset entertainment and movies under the stars to our Gadigal Green on the Darlington Campus. The cinema will run from November 29 until December 20 with gates opening at 6pm Monday to Sunday. For further information go to www.openaircinemas.com.au.
We know that many members of the local community use our University Health Service, so we wanted to let you know that during the break, we are also taking the opportunity to undertake a refurbishment of the Health Service on Level 3 of the Wentworth Building and the premises will be closed until Wednesday January 17, 2018.
During this time, limited nursing and medical services will be available at a temporary “pop-up” clinic located directly across from the current site in the Wentworth Building. The pop-up clinic will operate Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5pm, and will be closed over the University shutdown from December 22, 2017 to January 7, 2018.
The refurbishments will provide a much-needed upgrade of the facility, enabling it to become a centre of excellence for students, staff and members of the community, and increase capacity to keep up with increasing demand. For more information or to book an appointment please call 9351 3484.
May I finish the final column for the year by wishing you and yours a safe and enjoyable holiday season, and a very happy new year.
